This room serves many purposes for our residents; from enjoying the sunshine to doing puzzles and playing games in a cozy atmosphere. This is also a great place for friends and family to gather for a nice visit.
NRCC provides physical, occupational and speech therapy to each of our residents. We use ITS as our therapy provider. They do a wonderful job working with our residents who need specialized assistance learning or strengthening skills to maximize independence and safety while enabling them to be as independent as possible.
At NRCC you will find a courtyard area where residents can go to enjoy the sunshine or shade. There are flowers and plants to enjoy and watch grow during the summer months. This is an excellent place to have a family picnic in the summer! We also have a grill available for families to use in the courtyard when requested.
NRCC has their own 8 passenger van that is used for resident outings as well as trips to the local clinic. The activities department schedules van trips to show residents area Christmas lights, lakes, fall colors etc.
Our spacious chapel provides the perfect backdrop for weekly non-denominational worship services. Area pastors lead the worship services on a rotational basis. We also have monthly Lutheran communion service, weekly Rosary and Bible Study.
The Culinary Department at NRCC creates nutritious and delicious meals for our residents seven days a week. A variety of delicious meals are provided for our residents with the main meals served three times each day as well as afternoon and evening snacks. At each meal, our residents receive a choice of menu items to ensure variety and good nutrition. We provide therapeutic and textured altered food items as needed. Our residents dine with their friends and enjoy “home cooked” meals. Guests are welcome to join us for any meal. Guest tickets may be purchased at the nurse’s stations located in each hall. The Culinary Department is excited to implement new ideas and embrace the Culture Change to make dining with us a pleasant experience for our residents and their guests. NRCC has a very comfortable dining area with a mural of farm life and buildings on the main wall. The dining area has a beautiful wood floor and adjustable tables to suit each resident. Whether enjoying your meals, visiting with family and friends over a cup of coffee or playing a card game with the activity staff, the dining room is a great place to gather.
